“Knowing that farming is a family business, we’re looking forward to our first ‘Family Day’ at the N.W. Ag Show in 2007”, says Amy Patrick, Assistant Manager of the N.W. Ag Show. “It’s planned for the second day of our three day show at the Portland Expo Center, January 30th. We’ll feature a family ticket for $10, making it exceptionally affordable for the whole family, a craft area for children, along with kid, and family-friendly meals that will be available at our food court. We’re going to make this a real opportunity for kids to learn about N.W. agriculture through ag-related crafts thanks to our friends at Oregon Ag In The Classroom who donated the funding for this area. The N.W. Ag Show is very excited by the prospect of reaching out to families and getting them involved in the show.”
The show will also feature the 3rd annual FFA (Future Farmers of America) Equipment Contest and a fun antique equipment display courtesy of Antique Powerland. The awards ceremony for the FFA Equipment Contest will be held at 5:00 PM on Family Day.
