FFA Equipment Contest

The purpose of this contest is to provide an opportunity for FFA members to display their projects and to encourage public appreciation of these projects and the FFA program in general.
Rules
- Eligibility: Entries are limited to Oregon and Washington FFA members/chapters. Projects exhibited must have been constructed by FFA members.
- Ownership: Projects may be individually or group/chapter owned.
- Construction/Restoration Dates: Projects can be exhibited only one time and must be completed between Feb. 1, 2011 and Jan. 23, 2012.
- Project Presentation: All projects must be painted or properly treated and must be clean and in a presentable condition, even if they have been used prior to the show. NO Tire Black/Cleaner may be used inside the Expo Buildings. Photos and information chronicling the construction/restoration of each project are helpful to the judges and strongly encouraged.
- Safety: Fuel tank caps MUST be in place and sealed with tape and batteries must be disconnected.
- Signs: All projects are to be identified with exhibitor cards provided by the show management upon arrival. Additional signage, especially chapter information, is encouraged. If any projects are for sale, they may display a For Sale sign with contact information.
- Loss or Damage: Every precaution will be taken to protect the projects entered; however, neither the Northwest Ag Show, its management nor judges of this contest will be responsible for any loss or damage to projects.
- Judging: Judges will be exhibitors at the NW Ag Show and will be industry employers, fabricators and equipment specialists. Judging criteria similar to that used in state FFA competitions will be used.

- Ag Machinery/Equipment
Examples: hay equipment, spraying equipment, mounted or pull type tractor equipment, etc. - Shop Equipment/Livestock Equipment
Examples: shop tools, electrical equipment, gates/panels, chutes, feeders, etc. - Trailers
Examples: utility, bumper pull, stock, etc. - Recreational
Examples: home/yard decoration, sports equipment, etc. - Restoration
Examples: tractors, implements, other vehicles
Awards
- First Place in each class: $300
- Second Place in each class: $100
