Oregon Women for Agriculture is pleased to present Michele Payn-Knoper of Cause Matters for a special 1-day training seminar to help farmers, ranchers and others in natural resources develop skillsets with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs, YouTube, and smart phones. This training will help you establish the confidence you need to "agvocate" through social media. Tuesday January 24th 10 am to 4pm at the Portland Expo Center during the Northwest Ag Show. Space is limited to 25 people and there is a $50 dollar registration fee for all accepted applicants. Applications are due December 2nd and participants will be notified 10 to 14 days after.

This class will present a detailed overview of what the current requirements are, sort out which meetings are needed for each employer's situation, and provide resources to make it much easier to comply with the rules that do apply. The class will also review the principles of good safety management for agri-business and explain how to integrate these effective practices into the meetings, so that we can save lives, money, and time while staying out of compliance trouble.
